Scrum Events (Achievements)
Scrum has 5 structured events to create cadence, transparency and discipline.
1. Sprint
- The core cycle (1–4 weeks).
- Rhythm for planning, executing, reviewing and adapting.
- No changes that jeopardise the Sprint Goal.
Achievement: predictable delivery of progress.
2. Sprint Planning
- Team collaborates to decide what to deliver (Sprint Goal) and how to deliver it.
Achievement: clear alignment on what success for the next 1–4 weeks looks like.
3. Daily Scrum
- 15-minute stand-up meeting.
- Focuses on progress toward Sprint Goal and adjusting the plan.
Achievement: rapid micro-alignment and early detection of issues.
4. Sprint Review
- Inspect delivered Increment with stakeholders.
- Get feedback and update Product Backlog.
Achievement: continuous learning and steering.
5. Sprint Retrospective
- Team reflects on process, collaboration, tools, mindset.
- Identify improvements for next Sprint.
Achievement: continuous improvement and team growth.
